A man was found dead along the Bump and Grind Tuesday night.

Another hiker called 911 after finding the man face-down suffering from a medical emergency along the trail at 8:15 p.m., reports KESQ.

By the time authorities were able to hike to that spot on the trail at 8:40 p.m., the man had died.

UPDATE: the hiker has been identified as 61-year-old Mark Myden of Rancho Mirage, according to KESQ.

Authorities are investigating.
