Two men and 16-year-olds were arrested after police say they robbed pizza delivery drivers at gunpoint at least two times in Desert Hot Springs.
The Desert Hot Springs Police Department told KESQ the first robbery happened on May 25 at about 12:45 am. Police say that a driver was held at gunpoint and his car and belongings taken on San Juan Road.
Then, five days later, another pizza delivery driver reported bring robbed at gunpoint at 11:30 pm on Cactus Drive. Like the first robbery, the victim’s personal belongings and vehicle was stolen.
Detectives investigated and 19-year-old Demetrius Lugo of Indio, 19-year-old Dezmend Williams of Desert Hot Springs, and the two unnamed teens were arrested Saturday evening for carjacking and robbery.
