Three people are dead after two collisions within three hours of each other in Palm Springs.
Police responded to the first multiple vehicle traffic collision at Ramon Road and El Cielo Road a little after 11 pm Friday night, according to a news release. Three vehicles were involved. Two of the drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles. One of the drivers, a male, was pronounce deceased at the scene. Another driver was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.

It is suspected that alcohol may have played a role in this collision.
The second collision happened at approximately 2:07 am Saturday at the 400 block of East Palm Canyon Drive. The driver and passenger inside one of the involved vehicles sustained life threatening injuries and both were pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized.
