
A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Rancho Mirage on Thursday morning.

The collision happened a little before 7 am in the eastbound traffic lanes of Ramon Road. A man who was driving a white Honda Accord was handcuffed at the scene, according to KESQ.
A CHP official told the TV station that the driver claimed that another vehicle was trying to run him off the road, so he was speeding when he hit the cyclist.

Another driver involved stopped at a nearby gas station and waited for police to arrive.
