An Amber Alert was issued for brothers Carlos and Jayden Cortes, ages one and two, who were abducted in a car theft. They were found by police in the parking lot of a church, reports KESQ.
The car was stolen when the boys’ babysitter briefly got out of the car, according to the Desert Sun.
“He pulled up to his home and wanted to run in and get something,” Cathedral City Deputy Police Chief Travis Walker said. “He left the car running and when he came back out an unknown (person) was driving south toward Ramon in the car.”
