Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion is just great. While most rides nowadays have you seated the entire time, the mansion gives you a chance to walk around a bit first – and all while statues follow you around, wall paintings change right before your eyes, and, as you begin your adventure in the attraction, a room seems to stretch revealing hilarious images. Now, one of those “stretching” paintings can be all yours.

One of the early versions of a lapel-clutching, boxer shorts-sporting statesman standing atop a dynamite barrel is up for auction with Van Eaton Galleries in Sherman Oaks, reports NBC 4.

Today the stretching portraits are printed canvas works, but this particular piece, which hails from the attraction’s first few years, was painted by hand.

From the auction site:

This incredibly rare original “Haunted Mansion” stretch portrait painting was based on designs by Marc Davis and is accomplished in acrylic on heavy canvas by one of the Disney Studio artists. Measures 47″x116″. The painting is in very good condition. Beautifully framed and ready for presentation.

Starting bid on the painting is $20,000.

I have no idea how much it will cost you to install an elevator in order to display the portrait the correct way.
