It’s Friday. You have worked hard all week. You survived the gross haboob and the humidity. And now you want to just chill out with some good eats and a drink or two or ten after work. But where is the best place to go for that in the Coachella Valley?
Now, a couple of things. We are talking a real Happy Hour, not one of those bullshit “All-Day Happy Hours” promoted by restaurants full of lies! We are talking good, discounted drinks and good, discounted eats.
Sometimes, these Happy Hours also include live music. This is completely unnecessary to what makes a good Happy Hour and is actually usually annoying as you can barely have a conversation over their acoustic cover of James Taylor’s “Up on the Roof.”
Finally, and this might be key: some Happy Hours, okay most, can be taken over early by the blue hairs in the early afternoon leaving you with nowhere to sit by the time you arrive after 5. This is something we have to deal with in Greater Palm Springs, but it definitely has to be taken into consideration when you talk about which Happy Hour is the best in town.
That said, let’s discuss on Facebook: “What’s the best Happy Hour in the Desert?” – bonus points if you include details why your pick is the best:
