Less than 24 hours after LeBron James agreed to a 4-year deal to play for the Los Angeles Lakers, sales of his new jersey are booming.
Fanatics put the jerseys on sale within an hour of the announcement and had one of their top 10 biggest sales day in the websites history, according to ESPN.
The biggest cities for sales were Los Angeles (obviously), New York, Oakland, and, surprisingly, Cleveland.
The website has a men’s jersey going for $70, a youth jersey for $50, and a ladies LeBron Lakers t-shirt for $32.
James will wear number 23 with the Lakers. The company will not ship the jerseys until LeBron’s new deal is officially signed, which will likely be Friday.
