Police have released video of two masked men (a monkey and a gorilla) who robbed a Los Angeles store of some shoes on Thursday.

Just before 1 p.m., the pair entered the store in the 7800 block of Melrose Avenue and waved handguns at a store employee, according to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department.
The men absconded with several pairs of Nike Jordan women’s shoes and fled in a late model, four-door gray Nissan Altima with paper license plates.
Both suspects are described as African American or Latino and between 18 to 25 years old, police said. Each stands between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 and weighs about 150 to 160 pounds, police said.
Police have released the video of the robbery, which occurred in broad daylight, in hopes that anyone with information will come forward and call Det. S. Loera in the department’s Wilshire station at (213) 922-8216.
