The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has announced a sobriety checkpoint tonight in Palm Desert.
The Palm Desert Police Department Traffic Unit will be conducting a DUI DUI/Drivers License Checkpoint tonight at an undisclosed location within the city limits tonight (3/31/17) between the hours of 7 pm and 3 am.
Cops will be looking for signs of alcohol and drug impairment as well as checking licenses and registration.
Checkpoint or no checkpoint, if you have had too much to drink take a Lyft, an Uber, a cab, have a designated driver, or just stay home as, unfortunately, the city of Palm Desert does not offer a free shuttle the way the city of Palm Springs does.
