A man and a woman were arrested on Thursday after police say they were behind a series of vehicle burglaries that took place between January and April.
The La Quinta Special Enforcement Team actively investigated the burglaries and identified two suspects: Luis Alfonso Burgos, age 26 of Indio, and Jennifer Selene Reta, age 27 of Indio.
Burgos and Reta were taken into custody in Indio and charged with 16 counts of vehicle burglary, 2 counts of theft, 2 counts of vandalism, and conspiracy to commit a crime.
Burgos was also charged with a probation violation and Reta was charged with a parole violation.
