How we board planes makes no freakin’ sense. First, there is no such thing as “pre-boarding” – either you board or you don’t, dumb airlines. Also, the people sitting up front go first. I suppose this is so they can laugh at everyone walking by as they make their way to the much smaller seats in the back? Then there is the matter of overhead compartments. Sure, people are only supposed to bring on a carry-on and a small personal item, but, since the airlines got greedy and now charge everyone to check luggage, everyone tries to cram as much as possible up there – which can make people go crazy.
Take this woman, for example:
She was dragged off of Delta flight 2083 from Detroit to San Diego on Monday because she felt she deserved some of that valuable overhead space. Via Rene’s Points:
She didn’t check in with gate agent and walked right on. [The] woman blew by gate agent and didn’t check in because she wasn’t an early boarder and deserved overhead bin space. Colleague in back by her said she was mouthy and had a huge attitude. Police tackled her out of her seat and brought her to the ground. Not sure how she was subdued, some people speculated a taser.
Flying is super fun nowadays.
