If you haven’t made plans to skip town this 4th of July week yet, you may want to get on that – as, while the week will begin mild, it will end hot af in the Coachella Valley.
The forecast is calling for relatively mild temps, for the desert anyway, from Monday through Wednesday, with high temps around 105 – 107, but then things will start get much hotter on Thursday, with 111 to 113 looking possible, followed by, *sigh*, 119 degrees on Friday.
*Gulp*
Enjoy the upcoming Holiday as the cooler than average weather persists. Much warmer weather will arrive later in the week when heat may become excessive inland. #CAwx pic.twitter.com/ACxgr2FbrD

In other words:
Look Out! It’s Coming!!!
You can expect average, ordinary weather for the Coachella Valley today and tomorrow. Even Independence Day looks pretty typical for July.
But after that… LOOK OUT!!!
Excessive Heat Warnings for the end of the week are likely.@KESQ pic.twitter.com/oFg0P0aVU3— Jerry Steffen™ KESQ (@JerrySteffen) July 2, 2018
If you’re looking to bounce out of the desert to beat the end of the week heat, do note that things are going to be messy just about everywhere with hot temps, dangerous rip currents, and a chance of everything around you bursting into flames.
Significant weather impacts later this week include potential for record breaking triple digit heat, elevated to critical fire weather conditions, and high surf/strong rip currents. #LAheat #LAWeather #cawx pic.twitter.com/OAX9ZI8nIG
