The Palm Springs International Film Festival returns to The Coachella Valley from January 1st – 11th and for those interested in hanging with the celebs while they get their awards, you better start saving up.
According to the festival’s website, the cheapest seat in the house for the January 2nd Awards Gala will run you $350 – but, it does come with some food…so you have that goin’ for you, which is nice.
The next level up is a VIP ticket which runs a cool grand, a $1,500 “premiere” seat, a $2,000 “platinum” seat, and a $2,500 “VIP platinum” seat (and with those prices, here is guessing that $350 seat is pretty far away from the stage and celebs).
There are also packages for entire tables which will run you between $3,500 and $20,000 – which is double the price of buying your own star on the Palm Springs Walk of “Stars”.
But, for those who can’t afford those prices, you do have a few options:
- win a contest for a chance to sit on bleachers across the street
- watch local teevee folks ask the stars amazing questions
- become a Palm Springs city official (they get free tickets because they donate your tax dollars to the festival)
At least, by comparison, 3-day Coachella Fest wristbands do not seem all the expensive anymore.
