After seeing the historic rain, flooding and destruction unfold in Texas from the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, we have all been compelled to help out those in need. This Thursday, you can join Cactus Hugs and two great, local breweries as we raise much needed funds for those affected.
After seeing the images on tv and hearing the stories this past week, the team at Cactus Hugs knew we wanted to do something and so we thought about reaching out to one of the local, Coachella Valley breweries to see about setting up a fundraiser. But then we thought, why stop there? This is bigger than that. So we put the word out and two awesome local breweries immediately stepped up!
This Thursday, September 7 from 4 – 8pm, stop into Babe’s Bar-B-Que & Brewhouse or La Quinta Brewing Company (brewery only) and have a beer. Both are donating 50% of all draft sales during those four hours to the American Red Cross.
Have a brew or two at whichever brewery you want – it doesn’t matter to us. Or, get a designated driver and visit both. That’s fine too. And, if you can’t make it out, be sure to tell a friend or share the info on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Myspace, Friendster, or whatever you are into these days – and, if you can, make a donation to one of the many organizations helping out.
By the way, Thursday is the kickoff of the NFL season and you are probably going to end up drinking beer anyway. So watch Chiefs vs. Patriots at one of these two amazing craft breweries that we are lucky to have in the Coachella Valley and know that every beer you drink is helping the raise money for Houston.
