Cathedral City voters will now select who will fill the vacant seat on the city council as the current council voted 3 to 1 on Wednesday night to hold a special election just hours after emails showed that their dumb plan to fill former mayor Greg Pettis’ seat seemed to be rigged.

The council will now away with their dumb plan to select someone without the input of voters and will instead actually allow residents of the city to make the choice.
No word yet on when the special election will take place.
