Most people are smart enough to know that extending a metal rod out from a roller coaster going at high speeds through tunnels is not the best of ideas…unfortunately some don’t. That is why Disneyland has taken to posting an anti-selfie stick sign outside of Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad:

Guests are still allowed to bring their selfie sticks into the park and onto the ride, they are just not allowed to use them while on the coaster since Disney is tired of stopping the ride because someone is spotted using one.
Good call Disney. Now go ahead and just ban them completely.
