Well, that was wild.
Thunderstorms moved through the Coachella Valley late Friday / early Saturday morning brining loads of lightning, thunder, and plenty of rain.
I mean, look at all that red that moved through the Greater Palm Springs Area!

It was pretty nuts and, at one point, Indio even got hail!
Here is how much precipitation had fallen by 5:15 am Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service:
- Beaumont – 0.31″
- Cathedral City – 0.66″
- Desert Hot Springs: 1.10″
- Indio – 1.10″
- Palm Springs – 0.91″
- Thermal – 0.94″
And that rain seemed to fall all at once – as it was really heavy at times:
It appears that things will calm down through the morning hours, but more rain could be on the way later this afternoon:
