Local TV news is in the middle of sweeps month. And while normally, local TV news would run sensationalized stories to boost ratings, The Coachella Valley’s KMIR 6 KMIR does nothing of the sort! Take last night, when a piece called “Is There an East Valley Arsonist?“ aired.
Since there have been a “few” fires in the East Valley recently (KMIR counted at least 7!), a viewer named Christen Smith wrote in to KMIR letting them know that it “was too many” and asked if the area has a “pyromaniac”!!!!
The segment begins with over 2 minutes of some archived footage of shit burning, more shit burning, and even more shit burning – all while Kitty Alvarado(!) recaps with perfect annunciation. But what about this pyromaniac?!?! Oh, yeah, that. Ummm, no one can comment on that and stuff. But hey, thanks for watching!
