Palm Desert will have DUI checkpoint on Cinco de Mayo

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has announced a sobriety checkpoint for Cinco de Mayo (Saturday, May 5, 2018 ) in Palm Desert.

The Palm Desert Police Department Traffic Unit will be conducting a DUI DUI/Drivers License Checkpoint tonight at an undisclosed location within the city limits on May 5 between the hours of 7 pm and 3 am.

Cops will be looking for signs of alcohol and drug impairment as well as checking licenses and registration.

There are a lot of fun events scheduled for Cinco de Mayo, so, if you choose to go out, take a Lyft, an Uber, a cab, or have a designated driver.
