Rancho Mirage, where your cat can decide the future of CV Link

Cats Voting

Interesting that there is a debate in so much of this country over voter ID laws – as in Rancho Mirage, not only do you not need to show your identification to vote, you do not even need to show up to a polling place.

The city is conducting an all-mail ballot election today where voters will decide which two old white men will be on the city council (all-male ballot?). But, more importantly, city residents will also decide the fate of the giant clusterfuck that is CV Link and whether or not the path will go through Rancho Mirage.

With something so important to the entire Coachella Valley on the line, it is nice that the city allows its residents to vote at their leisure at home, or just have other people or even their pets vote for them.

Because let’s face it, Rancho Mirage residents are way too busy banning young people and brawling with their HOAs to make it to a polling place today.
