Day Three of the Stagecoach Country Music Festival took place on Sunday at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. The festival’s final day including performances by Jason Aldean, Old Dominion, Lauren Alaina, Tom Jones, and a DJ set from Diplo.
Here are five random notes from Day Three at the fest:
Diplo brought out Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus
In previous years, Stagecoach cleared out big time before the headliner was even halfway finished with their set (because people have jobs and stuff they have to get to on Monday), but Goldenvoice’s decision to have a DJ set by Diplo to close things out appears to have paid off as it drew quite the crowd.
The set also included a highly-anticipated appearance by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus – which you can check out here.

The secret is out
After two weeks and two days of hiding it, the entrance to the secret tiki bar was wide open on Sunday – with no need to search or wait to get in. Not sure why the decided to bring the place out of hiding, but I am sure those who don’t like secrets were happy by this move.
The weather was soooooooo much nicer
After a brutal Friday with temps over 100, Sunday’s clouds, breezes, and even a couple of raindrops were a welcome relief. Sure, it was a tad bit humid, but whatever – it was so much better than burning up in the sun.
Tom Mothafuckin’ Jones
His set was pretty great.
Really enjoying all of Tom Jones' songs tonight. #Stagecoach pic.twitter.com/9SxU6WOOF0

And he drew a pretty huge crowd:
It was fun but we’re all tired
Whether you went to any of the festivals over the last few weeks or just put up with the traffic, crowds, and hoopla, you deserve a break. And, since the desert basically shuts down in terms of large events for the summer, you will be getting a big one.
And hey, who knows, this is the year Goldenvoice does another fall fest and we will all be doing this all again real soon.
