The Buzz, a free shuttle bus that the Palm Spring City Council voted to end just five months ago, is now coming back to Palm Springs thanks to a vote by, you guessed it, the same City Council. Palm Springs is quite the town, man.
The city will now move forward on a two-year commitment to the trolley with Sunline operating the service (which is probably how it should have been in the first place. The cost will be $346,000 a year, according to KESQ. The Buzz buses will run Thursday through Saturdays year round.
As far as the vote goes, council members Lisa Middleton, Geoff Kors, and Christy Holstege voted in favor of bringing back the Buzz. Council member J.R. Roberts and Mayor Buzzkill voted against it.
