For the second time within a week, a Coachella Valley Chief of Police has been placed on administrative leave.
Travis Walker was placed on leave by Cathedral City on Friday, according to KESQ. Officials told the TV station that the city is investigating a complaint that was brought against him to the city. The investigation will be handled by an outside firm and no other information was provided.
Anthony Yoakum, the deputy chief, will serve as interim police chief in the interim.
Walker is the second police chief to be places on leave this month – as Desert Hot Springs placed Dal Mondary on on administrative leave pending an investigation into social media comments and messages along with text messages on April 29.
