Yet another heatwave is set to roll into Southern California next week, bringing near record high temperatures with it. Is it just me or has this summer already felt like seven summers already?
Things are going to start to warm up a bit this weekend, according to Jerry Steffen (a guy who clearly gets it).
Palm Springs 3-Day Forecast!
Near normal high temperatures today and tomorrow for the Coachella Valley but with moderately high humidity. SoCal will begin to warm-up and dry-out heading into next week with highs reaching well into the one-teens.@KESQ pic.twitter.com/EijMvL8uOg— Jerry Steffenβ’ KESQ (@JerrySteffen) July 20, 2018
And that’s just the beginning, The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning that will be in effect from 8 am Monday through 10 pm Thursday.

Temps will hit about 116 on Monday, rise again on Tuesday (117), and, *sigh*, yet again (118) on Wednesday.Β By Friday, we will be so thankful that it’s cooling down all the way to 112.
Be sure to drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun as much as possible, don’t leave your kids or animals in the car, and, for the love of God, DON’T HIKE!!!
