Two men were shot, one fatally, in Indio on Thursday night.
The shooting happened about 8 pm a mile south of the 10 Freeway on Valencia Street not far from Monroe Street, officials told the Desert Sun.

Officers arrived to find two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital where one of the men died.
Further information will be released as it becomes available. Indio Police Detectives are thoroughly investigating at the crime scene and are asking for members of the public to mindful of the road closure.
