The 10 Freeway was closed in both directions near Monterey in Palm Desert Monday morning as a woman was on the overpass.
The freeway and bridge over Monterey was closed to traffic in all directions. Traffic backed up for miles.

The closure was due to a woman standing on the overpass who was talked down by police.

All roads are now open again.
