Traffic built up as crews shut down the 10 Freeway both ways at Jefferson Street to remove the bridge for Indio Boulevard.
The same portion of the freeway is scheduled to be closed in both directions every night through this Friday, May 5, from 8 pm to 6 am, according to Caltrans:
