Two pedestrians are dead after they were struck by vehicles just hours apart in Desert Hot Springs and Palm Springs.
About 7pm, a man crossing the street was struck and killed by an SUV on North Indian Canyon north of 19th Avenue, according to the Desert Sun. The driver remained at the scene.
Just a little more than two hours later, another man was fatally struck by a vehicle in on Palm Drive and Hacienda Avenue in Desert Hot Springs.

In 2018, 19 pedestrians died in the Coachella Valley, according to the Desert Sun.
