Two men were hospitalized after being stabbed and cut by a man near downtown Cathedral City Sunday night.

Police were called at about 8:30 pm because of an altercation that broke out between multiple people. By the time officers arrived, those involved had left the scene, reports KMIR. Two victims were located shortly after in the area near Dinah Shore and Cathedral Canyon Drive.

The victims were treated at the scene for stab and cut wounds and then taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A graphic Facebook post has been circulating from a man claiming to be a victim of the stabbing, which he claims happened outside of Taco Bell. You can see the post here (but, once again, I warn you: it is graphic).

Police believe that a suspect used a knife/box cutter to stab the two victims. He is describes as a hispanic male, 20-30 years of age, 5’5″, medium build, with a shaved head.

Anyone with information should call the Cathedral City Police Department at (760) 770-0300.
