An investigation is underway after a man was shot dead in Cathedral City Sunday night.
Police told KESQ they responded to calls of shots fired and a a man down in the area of Aliso Road and Avenida Juarez about 6:45 pm. When officers arrived, they found the victim of a fatal shooting.

According to the Desert Sun, the victim was a 29-year-old Cathedral City resident.
An investigation is underway.
