Three minors were arrested on Thursday after police say the caused property damage of $175,000 to a warehouse in Thermal.
The Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force, with the assistance of Southern Coachella Valley Community Services District Team, conducted a search warrant service at a residence on Pierce Street in Thermal about 7:30 am, according to a news release. The search warrant stemmed from an investigation into felony vandalism that was reported on May 11th, 2020 at Oasis Vegetable Exchange located in Thermal. Police say that during the vandalism, suspects damaged property and spray-painted gang related graffiti throughout the warehouse causing an estimated $175,000 in damages.
During the service of the search warrant, Gang Task Force Officers located evidence linking the suspects to the vandalism. Three juveniles ages 12, 13 and 17 were arrested and charged with Felony Vandalism and Participating in a Criminal Street Gang. Two juveniles were released to their parents and one was booked at Juvenile Hall in Indio.
Additionally, Gang Task Force Officers conducted a parole compliance check at a residence adjacent to the location of the search warrant. Convicted felon and documented gang member Albin Tadeo, 24 of Thermal was arrested for Parole Violation. He was booked at the Indio Jail.
