3 people were shot in Desert Hot Springs at a duplex late Saturday night.

The shooting victims were taken to a nearby hospital- one with major injuries, while the extent of injuries to the other two was not reported.  No explanation was given as to why the shooting occurred.

A KESQ viewer told the TV station that she heard at least 12 gun shots and investigators later said that a marijuana grow was found inside the residence.

This was the second reported shooting incident this weekend in the city.
