Four people were arrested after police say they took cell phones from a Palm Desert store, then led police on a pursuit on the 10 Freeway Tuesday afternoon.
Multiple cell phones were taken from a store on Highway 111 a little before 2 pm, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Department. The suspects then fled the area in a vehicle and were soon spotted by deputies, leading to a vehicle pursuit.
The suspects led deputies west on the 10 Freeway, before stopping at a gas station in Cabazon, where they were taken into custody.
The four suspects arrested were:
- Damarak Knight, 19, of Rialto
- Malachai Cash Moten, 19, of Colton
- Dominic Claude, 23 of Colton
- Brandon Moe, 20, of Riverside
All four suspects were booked into county jail in Indio on charges of burglary, conspiracy to commit theft, felony evading and felony vandalism.
