Yeah. Yeah. I know. January is already 10 days in – but, since we have been busy making and breaking our resolutions, this list is out a third of the way through the month. But, that doesn’t matter. January still has some good shows coming up in and around the Coachella Valley.

5Improv at Fantasy Springs Casino – Jan. 14, 20, 21, 27, 28
Stand up comedy returns for weekends during The Season at Fantasy Springs on Saturday, January 14 with comedians Jerry Rocha, Vladimir Caamaño, and Ken Garr. Showtimes are at 8 and 10 pm with tickets running $20 (though you would be wise to scoop up a discounted Groupon for it instead). Beginning January 20, each weekend will see a Friday 9 pm show and Saturday shows at 8 and 10 pm.
4Chevelle, January 20, Fox Theater
The Chicago rockers known for hits like “The Red” and “Send the Pain Below” play the Riverside Municipal Auditorium on Friday, January 20 for a 7 pm show with tickets starting at $29.
3Fitz & the Tantrums, January 21, CareerBuilder Challenge
The Coachella Valley’s PGA tour event is trying something new this year: a concert on the driving range following Saturday’s round with Fitz and the Tantrum’s – a band that guarantees that they can make your hands clap. A ticket to Saturday only of the tourney will run you $40.
2Rick Astley, January 24, Fox Theater
Nope. You are not being rick-rolled, rather the man behind “Never Gonna Give You Up” is coming to Riverside. Astley will be at the Fox Theater on Tuesday, January 24 for a 7pm show. Tickets are $30.
