5 things to do in Greater Palm Springs this weekend

Smokey Robinson – Friday

The Motown legend takes to the stage at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino’s Special Events Center for an 8 pm show.  You will surely hear hits like “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me”, “I Second That Emotion,” “Ooo Baby Baby,” “The Tracks Of My Tears,” and, man, does he have a bunch of huge hits.  Tickets run $29 to $59.

Rough and Tumble performs at La Quinta Brewing Company’s Palm Desert location from 7 to 9 pm.  Enjoy some live music while sippin’ on am Even Par IPA.

Ice Skating – Friday to Sunday

It’s the last weekend of the ice rink at the River in Rancho Mirage.   Admission for skating sessions is $15 per person, which includes skate rental.

The wildlife artist’s work will be on display at a pop-up gallery at the Living Desert. Not only can you check out the oil paintings, but there will also be refreshments and live music.  Checking out the gallery, which will be on display Friday – Sunday from 11 am – 3 pm, is free with your paid Living Desert admission.
