The first weekend of November is here! This is always a huge time of year in the Coachella Valley as it means that temperatures are finally cooler than the surface of the sun, the Snow Birds are back en masse (be super careful at four-way stops), and there’s a ton of stuff to do in the Greater Palm Springs area. Here are 5 of your best options.
Street
Street, which doesn’t actually take place on a street of any kind, is a, well let’s just say…ummm…quirky event held at the top of a parking garage (perhaps they should call it “Lot”?) at the Westfield Palm Desert mall on Friday, November 3 from 5 to 11 pm.
Lot, errrr Street, will include live music, art, food, beer from La Quinta Brewing Company, and even a basketball court. It’s free to attend.
Greater Palm Springs Pride
The largest LGBT gathering of the year in the Coachella Valley, Pride Weekend includes a a two-day festival, parade (noon on Sunday), and a ton of live performances – including Missing Persons (“Walking in LA”).
It all takes place on Palm Canyon Dr. from Amado to Baristo Rd. and on Arenas Rd. from Belardo to Calle Encilia.

La Quinta Brewing Co. 4th Anniversary Party
The local brewery is opening up the parking lot of their Palm Desert brewery for live music from Cody White And The Easy Ride, Reborn by the Sunshine, and WYLDSKY – plus tasty grub from Big Easy Sandwich and, you guessed it, beer! Admission is free.
Run with Los Muertos
The 5th annual all ages 5k and block party is happening Saturday night in Old Town Coachella. Dozens of local artists will display large scale and interactive art installations alongside traditional day of the dead alters while you enjoy food, tasty Babe’s Bar-B-Que and Brewhouse beer, and even check out some animals from the Living Desert.
