The weekend is here and, OMG it’s actually going to be nice outside in the Greater Palm Springs area!!! While you may want to go out for a morning hike (since these temps won’t last forever), you might also be looking for something to do. Here are five to chose from.

The always even-tempered comic best known for his rants on the Daily Show takes the stage at the Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. Tickets for the 8 pm show run $29 to $59.

A Double-Dose of Rock Yard
Speaking of Fantasy Springs, this weekend the Rock Yard has not one, but two free shows. You can check out a Bon Jovi tribute band on Friday and a Van Halen tribute on Saturday. Both shows are free and start at 7:30 pm.

Powerhouse
LA’s Power 106 radio station brings a ton of acts to the Glen Helen Amphitheater on Saturday. N.E.R.D., Logic, Nipsey Hussle, Miguel, and more will perform the event which begins at noon. Tickets start at $28.
Battle of the Badges – Saturday
The night will have local police officers take on local firefighters in the ring. Who will come out on top? Well, you will have to head to downtown Cathedral City to find out. First bout is at 6 pm.
Mother’s Day – Sunday
You should tell your mom you love her everyday, but on this day you also should take her out for a nice brunch and get her some flowers and a card. We have a list of the best breakfast spots in the Coachella Valley to help you pick a good spot to take her.
