Fans of classic rock will have a new option on the radio in The Coachella Valley beginning soon as Smooth Jazz 102.3 KJJZ is about to become “Q102“.

Radio Insight reports that the new format will position the new station “between Morris Communication’s combo of Classic Hits “The Eagle 106.9” KDGL and Active Rock 93.7 KCLB”.
Longtime Smooth Jazz 102.3 morning man “Fitz” announced his resignation Wednesday on social media after spending 17 years on the station, thanking “long time listeners, artist friends, music fans and sponsors”.
