The Coachella Music and Arts Festival is getting closer, passes are starting to get shipped out, and some are starting to learn that lodging in The Coachella Valley is going to cost a pretty penny for the weekend.
The L.A. Times used Priceline to look into room rates in Palm Springs and Palm Desert and found them to be, well high (as much as $659 a night). Not unusual for Coachella weekend. So they extended the search well outside of town to Borrego Springs, Banning, Yucca Valley, and the newly name “Beaufort”.
I know this is just a simple typo (these sorts of things happen on Cactus Hugs all the time) but damn it, this typo is on to something!!! Beaufort needs to be the new name of Beaumont immediately…seriously, how much better is that name? Just say it out loud and try not to smile. “Beaufort!” – See, you can’t do it.
Hopefully the town takes action and Coachella goers will actually be able to stay in the newly named Beaufort in April.
