Looks like the rest of the world will continue to have a valid reason for hating American tourists, as two women thought it would be a fantastic idea to carve their initials into Rome’s Colosseum.

The women, aged 21 and 25, were spotted carrying out their stupid act by other tourists at the historic site. They told security, security called the cops, and the ladies were arrested.

The two letters (J and N) are said to be about eight inches in length and scratched on a brick wall at the historic amphitheater.

Both ladies are from California…(hold on, I have to go outside and scream for a moment)

(okay, I am back)…they also were so incredibly dumb and self-centered that they snapped a selfie of themselves with their carved initials before they were arrested.

The women now face a fine for “aggravated damage”.
