Two men who are accused of a string of Inland Empire robberies while wearing an Obama mask as a disguise were arrested on Thursday in Colton.
Via The L.A. Times:
Frankie Hernandez, 21, and River Robison, 20, were arrested outside a Colton restaurant and booked at West Valley Detention Center. Their bail was set at $1 million.
Authorities said Robison was in possession of a President Obama mask and a loaded semiautomatic handgun that he allegedly used in several of the robberies.
A search warrant at Robison’s home in Moreno Valley led authorities to discover a gas mask and 150 marijuana plants. Fontana police said Hernandez allegedly used the gas mask in some of the robberies.
The two men are suspected of committing as many as 15 robberies, stretching from Fontana to Temecula, from May 29 to July 9.
Police said the men admitted their crimes to police.
