A South Carolina woman appeared to be just slightly upset that her car was being repossessed. WYFF News 4 reports:
…the owners of Mission Towing and Recovery said [Lakeisha] Smith bit the tow truck operator while he was trying to get the SUV on the tow truck.
She then jumped in the vehicle, tried to drive it off the truck and then started smashing out the windows with a tire iron, according to the owners.
One of the owners, Kristina Ray, said she was watching from inside a car. “We knew she was going crazy cause she was already in the vehicle, she was spinning tires, blowing smoke. It was insane. Next thing you know the car jumps off the lift cause she’s trying to get it off there. That was her goal,” Ray said.
The tow truck driver captured most of the incident on tape:
And this was not her first time going bonkers during a repo attempt:
Police say the woman who bit a tow truck driver and smashed the windows out of her SUV during a repossession previously drove a vehicle off a tow truck while only wearing a towel.
The officer said Smith started the car and gunned it in reverse several times until the towing cable broke and the car came off the back of the wrecker. Smith then circled several times looking for an escape route, but there wasn’t one, so she drove through a fence at the back of the lot, the deputy said
Smith was arrested Tuesday morning, and is charged with third-degree assault and battery.
