Californians use the sushi emoji a lot, but as for the football emoji…well, not so much.
That according to SwiftKey, the maker of the popular keyboard app for iOS and Android, who have released the most popular emoji in each state based on the 1 billion-plus emoji sent by its users.
There are some surprises (ghost in Oklahoma) and some that were expected (pineapple in Hawaii).
As for California, SwiftKey claims these emojis are used more often than in other states:
So it would seem as if everyone is texting about sun, sushi, and taxis(?).
As for what emojis Californians are not using:
The snowflake is not really a surprise and I guess with The Raiders in the state, maybe fans are just too embarrassed to mention them?
