Mayweather vs Berto: Where to Watch for Free in Greater Palm Springs

Mayweather Berto

After throwing down $100 for Mayweather vs Pacquiao, you are probably a little gun shy about throwing down $65 for the Pay-Per-View of Floyd Mayweather taking on Andre Berto this Saturday night in Las Vegas. Luckily, you wan watch it for free in The Coachella Valley.

Both Spotlight 29 Casino in Coachella and Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio will be showing the fight for FREE on Saturday night.  The broadcast starts at 5 p.m. with three undercard fights followed by what Mayweather claims is his last fight (though no one believes him).

Here are those undercard bouts:

  • Badou Jack (19-1-1, 12 KO) vs. George Groves (21-2, 16 KO) – Super Middleweight
  • Roman Martinez (29-2-2, 17 KO) vs. Orlando Salido (42-13-2, 29 KO) – Junior Lightweight
  • Jhonny Gonzalez (58-9, 49 KO) vs. Jonathan Oquendo (25-4, 16 KO) – Junior Lightewight

And the tail of the tape on the main fight:

Floyd Mayweather (48-0, 26 KO) vs. Andre Berto (33-3, 23 KO)

Titles: IBA, IBO, IBF, WBA Super, WBC, RING welterweight, WBC, WBA light middleweight (Mayweather) / WBA, WBC, IBF, NABF welterweight (Berto)

Height: 5-8 (Mayweather) / 5-6 (Berto)

Weight: 147 pounds (Mayweather) / 146 pounds (Berto)

Obviously, if you want the best seats, get there early as both Spotlight at Fantasy Springs have a tendency to get packed by the time the main fight starts.

If you know of another place in town showing the fight for free, let me know with a comment or on Facebook and I will update this post.
