Heading out on a So Cal freeway on a Friday afternoon is normally miserable enough, but yesterday things were made even worse for commuters on The 5 in East Los Angeles. The freeway was shut down for more than three hours after some dude, who was possibly suicidal, refused to leave an overpass.
Traffic, was of course, a mess…

The LA Times reports that The CHP received calls about 3:40 p.m. about a possible jumper on the freeway overpass near Olympic Boulevard, all lanes were then shut down on both sides about 10 minutes later. The man was taken into custody about 7:15 p.m. and the freeway reopened.
During the shutdown, most drivers were pretty pissed off…
