Photos and Video: “Numero Uno”, the first Taco Bell, hits the road

It is not every night that an entire fast food restaurant hits the road, but when it does – plenty of people take pictures of it.

The original 400-square foot Taco Bell, nicknamed “Numero Uno”, was set to take the wrecking ball earlier this year. But those plans were thwarted (yes, THWARTED!) when outraged (and probably constipated) fans of the fast food restaurant heard the news – and Taco Bell stepped in to save the building.

Last night, crews loaded the entire building onto a truck and “Numero Uno” hit the streets as crews moved it from Downey to Irvine.

The building now sits at the Taco Bell headquarters in Irvine.  No word on what the company has planned for it.
