One of the greatest NBA players of all time has announced he will retire at the end of this season.
Kobe Bryant made the announcement in the form of a poem on The Players’ Tribune. An excerpt:
And that’s OK.
I’m ready to let you go.
I want you to know now
So we both can savor every moment we have left together.
The good and the bad.
We have given each other
All that we have.
This season has been a struggle for the superstar – with Bryant shooting just 32% on 17 shots per game.
But, Kobe will go down as one of the greatest – with five NBA championships, an MVP, two NBA Finals MVPs, two Olympic gold medals, and 17 All-Star Game appearances.
