A Cathedral City neighborhood was shutdown briefly by police on Tuesday night to investigate the second shooting in the area  in the past three nights.

Several gun shots were fired into a duplex along Whispering Palms Trail, just south of Ramon Road, reports KESQ.  The shooting happened at about 6:30 p.m.

No one was hit or injured in the shooting, according to The Desert Sun.

The incident follows the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old man who was shot while driving his Chrysler Sebring on Ramon Road Sunday night.
