A woman celebrating her 105th birthday asked for just one thing: firemen to climb into her window at her birthday party. She got her wish before she even blew out her candles on the cake.
Ivena Smailes, of Crawcrook, England, had five local firefighters come to her party – with one even climbing a ladder in order to enter her room through a window.
“It was great! Out of this world,” Smailes told ABC News of her birthday party.
Staff said they were more than happy to organize the party as they explained that she has “got an absolutely great sense of humor.”
The party was a great success – and not just for Smailes, but for old people everywhere, because as one Redditor explained, “Just because you’re old doesn’t mean you don’t still have a fire that needs putting out.”
